November 2022 - Freaky Friday - Rosati-Kain High School

Sara Rae is pleased to work with the folks at Rosati-Kain to choreograph Freaky Friday, which was one of her favorite movies growing up.  Jenni Ryan directs.  SR and Jenni worked together last in 2016 in Dogfight at Stray Dog Theatre.

March 2022 - Head Over Heels - New Line Theatre

The beat lives on!  Michelle and Sara Rae will team up again to choreograph and dance in Head Over Heels.

 

July 2021 - Billy Elliot: The Musical - COCA Center of Creative Arts

Sara Rae is pleased to step into the shoes of Mrs. Wilkinson, the tough-as-nails ballet teacher in Billy Elliot: The Musical in the beautiful new Catherine B. Berges Theatre at COCA.

March 2020 - Head Over Heels - New Line Theatre

We've got the beat!  Sara Rae and Michelle unite once again to choreograph (and perform in!) Head Over Heels.  The wild story follows the escapades of a royal family who set out on a journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction -- only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts...though not always in the way they expect...and in their willingness to let go of rigid tradition and change with the times.  The subversive tuner is a *beautiful* look at sexuality and gender expression and features BOPS by the iconic all-girl rock band The Go-Go's. 

October 2019 - The Who's TOMMY - Stray Dog Theatre

Sara Rae will return to Tower Grove to rock out in The Who's TOMMY.  Based on the iconic 1969 rock concept album, The Who’s TOMMY is an exhilarating tale of hope, healing, and the human spirit.  The story of the pinball-playing, deaf, dumb, and blind boy who triumphs over his adversities has inspired and amazed audiences for 50 years.  SHE IS VERY EXCITED TO BE SINGING THESE INCREDIBLE SONGS FROM ONE OF HER VERY FAVORITE ALBUMS.  ❤️

 

August 2019 - Guys and Dolls - Stray Dog Theatre

Sara will be stepping into her dream role of Miss Adelaide, the sweetheart of the Hot Box Club in the classic golden age musical Guys and Dolls.  This production runs August 8-24 at Stray Dog Theatre.  Click here for tickets and more information!

June 2019 - Be More Chill - New Line Theatre

Sara Rae and Michelle team up to choreograph Be More Chill, a contemporary sci-fi horror that takes a look at teenage depression, bullying, and life in the digital age.  

March 2019 - La Cage Aux Folles - New Line Theatre

Sara Rae and colleague Michelle Sauer return to New Line Theatre to choreograph La Cage Aux Folles.

June 2018 - Rock of Ages - Take Two Productions

Sara is thrilled to make her T2P debut in this high-octane rock tuner, featuring a head-banging score by Pat Benatar, Journey, Joan Jett and more.  She will be playing a stripper.  Her parents are so proud.  For more information and tickets, visit Take Two's website here!

March 2018 - Master Class - Kyle Barisich

Sara had the privilege of performing at a master class with Broadway's Kyle Barisich, sponsored by Saint Louis University's Department of Fine and Performing Arts.  Kyle is a kind and talented performer who is most known for his performance as Raoul in the 25th anniversary cast of The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.  See footage from the great event here!

 

March 2018 - Anything Goes - New Line Theatre

Sara is happy to return to the SS American as Virtue, one of evangelist Reno Sweeney's Angels in the Cole Porter classic Anything Goes.  She will also be co-choreographing the show with fellow Angel Michelle Sauer.  For more information, visit newlinetheatre.com.

 

August/September 2017 - In the Heights - R-S Theatrics

Sara is THRILLED to make her R-S debut in the ensemble of Lin Manuel Miranda's In the Heights!  The production will be directed by Artistic Director Christina Rios and choreographed by the fantastic Cecily King.  This marks the company's first production in residence at the new .ZACK Performing Arts Incubator.  This production is not to be missed!  Click here for more information!

July 2017 - Grand Center Theater Crawl - R-S Theatrics

Sara will be performing be performing contemporary musical theatre pieces with fellow R-S artists on Friday, June 30 in Grand Center.  Performances begin at 6:30 pm.  "Join St. Louis Public Radio for the finest offerings of the bustling St. Louis theatre scene at the Grand Center Theater Crawl. June 2017 - Sweet Smell of Success- New Line Theatre

March 2017 - Zorba- New Line Theatre

Sara is THRILLED to make her debut at New Line Theatre in their production of Zorba.  She joins the ensemble choreographed by the enormously talented Michelle Sauer.  Greek dialect to follow.  Get more information here!

December 2016 - Lucky, a Holiday Cabaret

October 2016 - The Rocky Horror Show - Stray Dog Theatre

Sara will return to the Tower Grove Abbey to revist the Manor as Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show- one of her favorite roles to date!  Justin Been will direct a rock star cast.  Check it out!

August 2016 - Bat Boy: The Musical - Stray Dog Theatre

Sara is returning to Hope Falls to play the honorable Mayor Maggie and youngster Ron Taylor in Bat Boy: The Musical- two roles she also played while studying at Lindenwood University.  Pick up some tickets HERE.

May 2016 - Kiss Me Kate - Family Musical Theater

Sara is so pleased to return to the beautiful Ivory Theatre in Cole Porter's classic Kiss Me Kate.  She will be taking on the role of Lois Lane, who plays the mad-to-marry Bianca in the show-within-the-show, The Taming of the Shrew.  For more information, please visit Family Musical Theatre's website.

January 2015 - Cabarets

Sara will be taking part in two local cabarets, Broadway Bayless Night and New Girl in Town!  Broadway Bayless Night is a fundraiser for friend Pat Klick's high school choir, and New Girl in Town features fellow Funny Girl Follie Emily Johnson in her STL Cabaret debut!

October 2014 - The Rocky Horror Show - Family Musical Theater

Sara is over the moon to join the ensemble of Stray Dog Theatre's The Mystery of Edwin Drood!
