About Me
Sara Rae Womack is a theatre artist based in St. Louis, Missouri, whose passion lies in telling stories about powerful women through music and dance. She is a collaborative artist, who has combined her skills as a choreographer, singer, dancer, and actor to bring characters to life. In addition to her work as an actor and choreographer, Sara Rae is beginning her journey as a director and producer, striving to make an even bigger impact on the stage.

Sara Rae's self-produced production of Daddy Long Legs was a smash. Over the one-weekend run, less than 10% of tickets went unsold. The audience was extremely complimentary and many asked if there might be an encore production. To be continued, fingers crossed!
June 2025
Sara Rae was recognized as Best Director at the Arts For Life Best Performance Awards for her production of Anything Goes with Kirkwood Theatre Guild. The overall production was also honored as the Best Production of a Large Ensemble. Other awards for the production included Best Choreography for her collaborator Michelle Sauer, Best Duo/Group for The Angels, Best Featured Actress for Rhiannon Bush (Hope), and Best Comedic Actress for Stephanie Merritt (Erma). A major success!

Kirkwood Theatre Guild's production of Anything Goes picked up 15 Best Performance Award nominations from Arts for Life, including a nomination for Sara Rae as Best Director. In addition to many performance and creative nominations, the show overall was nominated for Best Large Ensemble Production.
July 2024
Sara Rae took part in the 2024 Broadway Teacher's Workshop, including a Directing Intensive led by Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall. During her time in New York, she participated in workshops focused on directing, intimacy direction, choreography, musical theatre history, and more. She also saw seven shows in five days (a personal record!), including The Who's TOMMY, Chicago, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Illinoise, The Outsiders, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and The Great Gatsby.
